Dunk Island is covered mostly in national park, the tropical island is a nature lover’s playground with beautiful walking trails and palm-fringed beaches. From the jetty, make a left and follow the beach until you reach the track signs leading to Muggy Muggy Beach and Mount Kootaloo.If you’re up for a hike and fit for the challenge, set your sights on Mount Kootaloo first. The steep 7km-return track takes you through ancient fern forests and ironbark groves, past the rusty remains of a World War II radar station, to the island’s highest point with pinch-yourself panoramic views of the Family Group of Islands. On the way back down, landlubbers can continue to explore the island’s core along the circuit track (a round trip takes about 3-4 hours), passing through the Palm Valley before coming out at Coconut Beach. For visitors requiring a more easy hike then an excellent walk along Pallon Beach, via the a lookout to the old farm to Coconut Beach is highly recommended 
If the salty seas are calling your name, follow the track back down to the Muggy Muggy Beach turn-off for a dip and a snorkel. Likewise the beach directly from the jetty is a perfect area at all tides.

Our timetables are always subject to change - we do our best with weather and other prevailing operational requirements. 

EXTRA BAGGAGE / CARGO
If you require to take any extra baggage/cargo other then your hand luggage (Max 5kg) you are required to book and pay for this in advance. Goods at extra charge include (but to exclusive to) camping equipment, suitcases, trekking backpacks, eskys (chilly bins), suitcases  and  trolleys. See our full terms and conditions and/or conditions of carriage for full details of pricing. It is cheaper to book in advance. Items that are not prebooked arrival are charged an extra service fee as well as subject to availability on the day.

MEDICAL CONDITION
If you have a medical condition and are unsure of you physical ability to participate in an activity, we recommend that you consult with a medical practitioner prior to booking.

WEATHER WARNING 
During October to April the tropical heat can be severe. If walking on tracks on the various islands, make sure you carry plenty of water, walk with a friend, have sun protection and don't walk in the middle of the day.

ACCESSIBILITY
Unfortunately snorkeling and island activities are not available on our tours with mobility challenges. Whilst our vessel is mobility friendly the infrastructure at the reef and islands are not. All passengers to/from Dunk Island must be able to handle up to 20 stairs without a lift. Sometimes due to weather passengers with accessible requirements may be not able to disembark at Dunk Island due to unsafe conditions.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Tickets are refundable as long as cancelled more than 24hours prior to departure time
Change dates free of charge up until 24 hours prior to departure
Change dates less than 24 hours for a $25 administration fee.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING AND CARRIAGE

Day Day Return Passengers are allowed 1 piece of carry on luggage per person to a maximum 5kg. Refer to terms and conditions for pricing on extra baggage which is best prebooked with initial reservation for the best prices.
